The Indianapolis Bar Association recognition breakfast has come and gone once again, this year with attorneys from Christie Farrell Lee & Bell receiving awards from the Indianapolis Bar Association.
Lee Christie was honored as part of the Marion County Judicial Selection Commission, which collectively received the President’s Award for Service to the Profession. This commission was set in place by Indiana political, legislative, and judicial leaders and interview potential candidates to fill judicial vacancies in Marion County. The 14-member committee made recommendations to the governor regarding three vacancies. In addition, they are continually responsible for making informed recommendations about current judges’ retention. It is predicted that the Marion County Judicial Selection Commission will promote and assist diversity in the Marion County judiciary for years to come.
Kathy Lee received the Distinguished Life Fellow Award from the Indianapolis Bar Association. Tina Bell received the Distinguished Fellow Award. The awards are given based on peer nominations and represent a commitment on the parts of Tina and Kathy to support the work of the Bar Association in coming years. Congratulations to both, and thank you for the hard work that inspired your nomination for these well-deserved honors.
