It’s common for law students to intern with practices to gain insight into the day-to-day activities of working attorneys. At CFLB, we enjoy working with interns, called law clerks, to help us manage our cases, and also to give back to the legal community by offering those students an opportunity to learn with hands-on experience.
Kate Franke manages the law clerk team, but they work with all of the attorneys in our office. We hold every one of our law clerks to our high professional standards, and it’s our goal to involve them in a wide variety of cases. By the time they are ready to move on, our clerks are prepared to do anything an attorney with 1-3 years of experience would be expected to handle.
Our current law clerks are:
- Tyler Zipes – Third Year Student at IU McKinney, who also serves as our head law clerk
- Kelsey Pinney – Third Year Student at IU McKinney
- Jack Altice – Second Year Student at the University of Dayton
- Bobby Swaby – Third Year Student at Valparaiso University (Kate’s own alma mater!)
Thanks to our law clerks for all their hard work!
